The Advanced Research Scientist may serve as Principal Investigator (PI), Co-Investigator, or Key Personnel on funded research project(s) at the FPG Child Development Institute. They will primarily provide support to collaborators at FPG for all aspects of research methods related to child development, including proposal development, data collection, measurement development and selection, statistical analysis plans, and collaborative manuscript writing. They may serve as the primary statistician on multi-disciplinary developmental projects and may conduct their own primary research projects.
Education and Experience:
The Advanced Research Scientist must have a minimum of five years of experience working as a collaborator with researchers and must have a comprehensive knowledge of applied behavioral statistics. Other experience should include proposal development, study design, sampling, coordination of data management, development and implementation of statistical analysis plans for multiple research projects simultaneously. Demonstrated experience in conducting complex longitudinal analyses, cost-effectiveness, design of experimental and quasi-experimental studies. Preferences for those with experience clearly and concisely communicating verbally and in writing for audiences with different levels of training research methods. Expertise in structural equation modeling and econometric methods is also desired.
