Westtown School is seeking qualified candidates for Lower School classroom support positions for the 2020-2021 school year. Responsibilities may include; supporting teachers with small group instruction and classroom projects, relieving classroom teachers when needed, assisting with arrival and dismissal duties, overseeing lunch and supervising outdoor recess. Qualified candidates must be flexible to the various emerging needs of the school and have the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across grade levels. Candidates with prior teaching experience may also serve in a substitute teaching role as needed.

The ability to differentiate teaching strategies to support a variety of learning styles and needs
Strong communication skills
Experience with integrating technology in the classroom
Commitment to professional learning and the application of current research
An ability to meet a variety of responsibilities with integrity, enthusiasm, creativity, and a sense of humor.
Some college required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience teaching and/or supervising children
A strong character with a team-oriented spirit, and the ability to connect meaningfully with students throughout our diverse community
