Barnard Center for Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, in the Child, Family, and Population Health Nursing Department has an outstanding opportunity for a part time, 50% Program Operations Specialist. Serve as the program manager for the Barnard Center’s Advanced Clinical Training program, a new community-based training program for mental health clinicians to gain expertise in providing assessment and treatment to families with very young children. This position works directly with instructors, program trainees, and the director of the program, Dr. Nucha Isarowong; this position will support, manage, and help implement the Advanced Clinical Training Program curriculum for mental health providers serving families with young children. The position is housed in the School of Nursing and is part of a workforce development grant. The ACT program is a comprehensive advanced clinical training program for post-graduate (Masters or PsyD) licensed and license-eligible mental health professionals and consists of a foundation phase, an advanced clinical training phase, and two vital supporting activities, infant observation and reflective practice and consultation groups. The Foundations Phase introduces and grounds clinicians in the principles, knowledge, skills, and perspectives of infant and early childhood mental health and child development from prenatal to 5 years of age. The Advanced Clinical Training Phase focuses on specialized clinical infant and early childhood mental health treatment rooted in contemporary understanding and application of attachment and psychodynamic/psychoanalytic theories and concepts. In addition to the traditional focus on relational processes and perspectives and the reflective stance, the ACT Program also integrates diversity-informed practice principles based on the Diversity-Informed Tenets for Work with Infants, Children and Families. Serving as the program manager for the Advanced Clinical Training Program, this position will: •Manage trainee enrollment and registration •Provide guidance and problem solving to trainees •Provide administrative and technical support to trainees and instructors •Perform project budgeting and invoicing including budget development, tracking, and external invoicing •Manage the logistics and technical support for instruction as needed •Establish plans and timelines to meet program goals including recruitment, fiscal management, and implementation •Coordinate with Center leadership, instructors and stakeholders •Liaise with experts on content •Implement online learning sessions (through a combination of Zoom and Canvas classrooms) •Perform other steps to build quality online and in-person instruction. Coordinate Continuing Education Credit Applications. •Coordinate in-person onsite training including working with venue and external vendors and day-of on-site coordination (once UW returns to in-person instruction) •Manage marketing & recruitment which includes maintaining websites, creating and disseminating recruitment materials and attending recruiting events. •Strategize with the Director around recruitment efforts to achieve maximum efficiency reach recruitment goals. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare fields, Education, Business, Social Science or related fields and two to three years’ experience as a program coordinator, manager, or program operations specialist. Equivalent experience may substitute for degree requirements. Experience leading a project and demonstrating superb organizational and communication skills and/or participating in process improvement for a team or organization. Experience providing intermediate level instruction or assistance to people using Canvas and Zoom. Occasional weekend and evening work will be required.
