Green Acres School seeks a substitute for our PK-8th?grade classes during the 2020-21 school year. Substitute staff are responsible for covering duties for a staff member who is out. Substitute hours will vary each week.We invite patient, dynamic, enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with children to join our community in November, 2020.
Applicants for these part-time positions should have supervised occupational experience working with children in an environment such as a camp, a preschool, or an extended day program. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma. Child development courses are encouraged.
Ideal candidates will be positive and energetic, possess respect for all children, demonstrate creativity, have a proven dedication to education, and be adept at communicating with other staff members. Knowledge of or experience with progressive education is a plus, but it is not required. We encourage current college students working towards a degree to apply.
The candidate should be open to participating in staff IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity, and access) training.
