Dream AcadeME is looking to fill a part-time teaching position for a private family! Since we were founded in 2016, we have partnered with families and local organizations to develop community-minded, environmentally conscious, and empowered youth through constructivism, STEAM, and nature-based education. As our world goes through rapid changes in 2020, we seek to support families and teachers in coming together to develop intimate learning communities where families and teachers are able to collaborate to provide the best possible learning environment for children.

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Education or related field
Minimum three years experience teaching (early childhood or elementary school)
Ability to achieve strong social emotional and academic results using a social constructivist approach to learning
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Skills in differentiating curriculum and instruction for varied abilities and ages
Passionate about ‘whole-child’ development
Committed to reflection and life-long learning
Curious about improving teaching practices through discovery and co-researching with children
Capable of taking initiative, experimentation, and flexibility
Experience working with children with reading instruction
Other certifications or experience in areas such as: yoga, lifeguard, surfing, woodworking, playing instruments, tinkering, coding, robotics, sports, etc.
Compensation commensurate with experience and education (between $65-$75/hour).
You will be working in-person in small group settings.

Parent seeks a private teacher/tutor for the 2020 Fall Semester for her two children, (3rd grader, turned 9-years-old in October and 1st grader, turned 7-years-old in September). This teacher will be hired for 12-15 hours a week. The start date will be late October.
The teacher will help to make remote learning more creative and fun with supplemental learning. The teacher will be adaptable and flexible, while understanding how to differentiate between the grade levels and learning styles, and how to support them with challenges and in areas of need. Day-to-day, the teacher will support remote learning and give the children structure to their day and enrich their curriculum.
The teacher will support writing skills, handwriting, reading comprehension, and provide art, perhaps even learning literacy skills through the arts! The teacher will creatively weave these goals with outdoor exploration, science, and other areas of interest for the siblings. Ideally, the teacher will be outgoing, hands-on, creative, interactive, fun, interesting, and someone who loves the outdoors and nature. The ideal teacher will have a holistic view of the world and of children’s learning.
The environment would be an outdoor and indoor space in their home located in Weston, MA. PPE guidelines will be discussed with the teacher and flexible to what the teacher feels comfortable with. The parent also has a one-year-old that she will be caring for while the teacher supports the older siblings.
COVID-19 considerations: Regular testing may be required.
Additional Salary Information: Compensation commensurate with experience and education (between $65-$75/hour).
