Adjunct Faculty, Early Childhood Education: Department of Early Childhood Education, Division of Business and Professional Studies; MCCC/MTA DCE Unit Position
Position Summary: The Early Childhood Education department is seeking applications for a pool of adjunct instructors to begin in the 2020-2021 academic year. Part time adjunct instructors are responsible for providing our students with a high quality learning environment and must follow the requirements outlined by the DCE MCCC Collective Bargaining Agreement. Applicants are encouraged to indicate their availability to teach and the specific courses they are qualified to teach within their cover letter.
Anticipate Start Date: September 2, 2020
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach one or more Early Childhood Education courses from the following list; classes may be offered during the day, evenings, weekends or hybrid/online. Visit our course catalog for course descriptions.
Individuals hired to teach online or hybrid courses will be required to complete online training through the college's iTeach program. The next session of iTeach is offered in May. They will be paid for development in accordance with the local Distance Education contract.

Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or closely related field
Experience in early childhood classroom settings, with children birth through age 8
Must demonstrate: a high level of enthusiasm, strong work ethic, flexibility, excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and ability to integrate appropriate technology into teaching strategies
Demonstrated ability to teach within, and contribute positively to a diverse, multi-ethnic, multicultural student population
Experience teaching at the college level or teaching/training adult learners
