ABOUT THE JOB Responsible for the supervision of one or more Early Childhood Education site(s). Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance. Administers policies that directly affect subordinate employees. Recommends changes to Early Childhood Education policies and practices. May participate in strategic planning. Management reviews work to measure meeting of objectives. Provides priority setting and work flow analysis for responsible sites.
Qualifications: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in ECE, Child Development or related area and equivalent experience / training. (Required)
Master's degree in ECE or Child Development or related area. (Preferred)
Must have a minimum of 3 infant/toddler semester units with a grade of 'B' or better (Required)
Must have 3 semester or equivalent quarter units in administration or staff relations. (Required)
Has and maintains current child CPR and first aid certificates. (Required)
Certifications: Must have valid Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or higher and maintain certification. (to review requirements for Permit: email@example.com) (Required)
Conditions: Passes FBI, DOJ and Child Abuse Index through the Department of Social Services and be affiliated with Community Care Licensing.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
Solid working knowledge of early childhood education, as well as related policy and regulatory compliance requirements.
Intermediate computer application skills.
Solid inter-personal skills, service orientation, ability to multi-task effectively in a varied, challenging environment, judgment and decision-making, reasoning, ability to develop original ideas to resolve problems, and highly effective verbal and written skills.
Must test TB negative, provide proof of Measles and Pertussis inoculation, and have health screening clearance.
Strong demonstrated experience in the supervision and development of a large number of staff in a classroom setting. (Preferred)
