Tower School is an independent PreK-8 school located in Marblehead, MA. Tower seeks teaching faculty who demonstrate an interest in participating fully in the life and activities of a highly engaging elementary and middle school and will contribute to furthering Tower’s mission. Successful candidates will exhibit a great work ethic, a good sense of humor, strong written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to inspire young people.Tower is conducting a search for enthusiastic and collaborative Pre-K and Kindergarten Associate Teachers to start in August 2020.
Important to note:
These positions include a 20-30 hour classroom commitment, somewhat flexible with hours and days of the week
These positions are support roles to our lead Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten teachers
The option for an additional 10-15 hours working as a teacher in our extended day program, Club T.E.D., is available. See job responsibilities for this position listed below. Applicants who are able to commit to both components will be given preference.
Responsibilities of Tower Extended Day (Club T.E.D.) teacher include the following:
Together with the other Club T.E.D. teachers, determines Club T.E.D. routines and manages students effectively
Prepares engaging and stimulating activities that reflect knowledge of Tower’s curriculum, child development, and student interests and abilities
Creates and maintains an after-school environment that is cheerful, organized, and age-appropriate

Preferred candidates will have:
Experience in an early childhood classroom
Teaching experience with:
Reggio Emilia approach
An ability to respond with kindness and patience to young students’ developing emotional and physical needs
Completed or working toward a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education
