Early Childhood Teacher

Haddonfield Friends School is seeking an experienced teacher for the Early Childhood Center (ECC) to begin January 1, 2020. The qualified teacher will have an understanding of and strong affinity for Quaker philosophy, and will work collaboratively with colleagues. Strong candidates will bring: 3-5 years teaching/assisting experience in the Early Childhood/Primary classroom Ability to teach to the whole child, including enthusiasm for inquiry and project-based learning, field trip planning, and service integration Openness to collaboration and planning with Early Childhood colleagues and faculty across all grade levels Genuine understanding of child development and respectful behavior management Rich repertoire of teaching strategies to address a variety of learning styles and needs Strong communication skills Strong technology skills and experience with technology integration in the classroom Commitment to continuous professional learning, including understanding and application of current research Ability to meet varied tasks and responsibilities with integrity, enthusiasm, creativity, flexibility, and humor Early Childhood Certification Preferred Applicants should supply the following: A cover letter to Matthew Sharp, Head of School; resume/curriculum vitae; statement of educational philosophy; teaching certificate; and list of 3 references or three letters of recommendation, to: employment@hfsfriends.org (Include ‘ECC Teacher’ in the subject line.)
