Posting Details Job ID: 47842 College/School: College of Education Responsibilities: The Early Childhood Education Program of the Department of Teacher Education, in the College of Education, invites expressions of interest for part-time faculty teaching opportunities for the 2019-2020Academic Year. Part-time teaching positions become available throughout the academic year, including summer sessions. Applicants with expertise that matches the Program's course staffing needs will be contacted for an interview. Since course schedules fluctuate in day/night and session frequency from quarter to quarter, selected individuals will work with the Program Director to determine their quarterly schedules. Courses are not guaranteed; however, the Department does its best to give adjunct instructors ample notice about available courses and potential course cancellations. Presently, no weekend courses are scheduled. Some courses are taught online or through hybrid delivery models. Other courses (e.g., internships) require instructors to conduct field supervision of teacher candidates across the quarter, in placements around the city of Chicago and sometimes the collar suburbs. Please note: DePaul's academic year is based upon quarters of 11 weeks. There are three quarters across September-June, with breaks between them. Please consult the DePaul University Web site's Academic Calendar for further information on this year's academic schedule. The Supplemental Questions are designed to determine your specific, relevant areas of expertise in Early Childhood Education (ages birth through 8y): Required Qualifications: Applicants must have a master's degree and a minimum of three years' experience in the early childhood or child development fields. Some courses may require a doctoral degree. Applicants for curriculum and instruction (i.e., "methods") courses must have minimum of 5 years of licensed teaching experience.
