Advertised Job Summary:
The Research Associate (RA) will provide skills and expertise in early childhood/social services program evaluation and policy analysis and participate as a member of an evaluation team that plans and implements evaluation plans for Early Care and Education systems, policies, and professional development initiatives. The RA will plan and conduct a variety of research tasks, including data collection, analysis, and reporting, for research faculty members with the Child Care Research Team at CDRC in the College of Education funded by SC DSS. The RA manages web-based data collection systems, data extracts from state, publicly available data and secondary data systems and communicates with external clients, beneficiaries and the early childhood community on data collection and analysis activities. The RA assists in organizing, managing, and developing the work of graduate students.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Requires a master’s degree in Education, Program Management, Evaluation, Social Work Research, Education Research, Child Development, Social Science or related field with training in research methods and at least two years of experience in program evaluation and/or research. Research or related field and experience in data driven policy analysis and program evaluation. Data analysis techniques, knowledge of systems of social service supports, awareness of early childhood care and education systems, data management, ability to recommend and implement data alignment across different data systems, public policy processes.
