Comprehensive Family Services (CFS) is seeking enthusiastic and passionate social workers to work with court involved children and families. Forensic social work experience, child welfare experience, and/or experience working with high conflict families preferred. A culturally competent working knowledge of child development and family systems theory required. Prior practice with mental illness, substance abuse or domestic violence populations is also preferred. CFS social workers provide forensic and therapeutic social work services to court involved children and families. Tasks include supervising community and office-based family visits, providing direct advocacy on behalf of children and adults, and being responsible for assessment of and therapeutic intervention with children and their families. Work hours can be flexible, but late afternoon, evening, and weekend availability is required in order to accommodate the families with which we work. Applicant must have demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team model. LMSW required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, along with willingness to travel and conduct home visits.
