Cottage Grove, Chicago. This is an exempt position reporting directly to the TUMMY Nutrition Education Services Program Coordinator.
POSITION PURPOSE: Provides crucial assistance for the Child & Adult Food Program (CACFP) within the provider services team, support program operations and initiatives, providing administrative support and ensuring regulatory agencies compliance. This position is vital in ensuring synergy among YWCA programs, constituents and communities served.
Acts as a CACFP “hub” and consistent point of contact for provider client services and program staff.
Investigates and problem solves, using program data systems to identify provider and/or program issues and concerns.
Provides ongoing database training, new user set-ups and troubleshooting for internal staff and external providers on software used for program operations.
Ensures the accuracy of data that program team members are providing on a daily basis.
Creates program notices, sends out monthly mailers and promotional materials in English and Spanish.
Utilizes social media platforms to communicate and increase provider engagement.
Actively participates in ongoing provider member recruitment and retention efforts including calls and events.
Associates degree or equivalent experience in Nutrition, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Public Administration or Business
Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in administrative and/or customer service role, including filing, record keeping, meeting/program planning, operations and evaluation, and the use of data management information systems
Willingness to work collaboratively with individuals from various educational, socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds
Skills in creativity, innovation and ease in engaging clients and communities served
Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organization, time management and attention to detail
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Collaborative ability to work as a member of a team
Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite and Outlook
Fluent Bilingual Spanish speaking/writing skills
Ability to travel within local Chicagoland area for meetings and events
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, based on program needs for special projects and events
Valid drivers’ license, insurable driving record and able to furnish own transportation
Comfort with public speaking skills and wiliness to participate in social media and video recordings and webinars.
