This employee will serve as a team member on the UNC Horizons Wake County Program, a trauma-informed substance abuse outpatient treatment program for women. This Staff member will self-identify as a women in recovery and use that experience to provide hope and strength to the clients struggling with recovery issues. This staff member will carry out a variety of responsibilities to the program and to the clients which may include individual and group support, transportation and child care. This employee will also be responsible for maintenance of vehicle and child care room. Staff member will provide administrative support to team, as needed.
Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree in a related Human Services discipline and two years of experience related to the area of assignment, or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
The selected candidate must be a certified Peer Support Specialist and have a basic knowledge in caring for children. Must have a valid NC Driver’s License.
Associate’s Degree in a Human Service or Child Development field. Experience working in a substance abuse treatment program or child care program.
