Qualifications REQUIRED -Experience administering assessments to young children at risk for autism and ADHD, including standardized developmental and diagnostic assessments in a clinical or research environment -Prior completion of formal ADOS-2 clinical training -Prior experience with administering the Mullen Scales of Early Learning -Experience providing verbal and written feedback to families regarding their child's development -Experience training other professionals in the use of research informed strategies -Experience with coaching professionals and appropriately providing feedback -Ability to work in a team in a collaborative manner -Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines, develop and carry out project assignments in an efficient and timely manner, and to provide accurate and succinct documentation of activities
PREFERRED -Bachelor degree in Psychology or related field or comparable work experience

Responsibilities The Staff Research Associate I works across two research projects to complete assessments and conduct training related to children with neurodevelopmental disorders. In one project (40% time) the Associate assists with completing participant assessments for a federally funded research grant examining infants at risk of autism and ADHD. Under direction, conducts behavioral assessments of infants and toddlers and provides written and verbal feedback to families enrolled in the study based on these assessments. Associated tasks include assisting with screening potential participants for study eligibility. In the second project (60% time) duties include working with school districts and teachers to train them in Classroom Pivotal Response Teaching (CPRT) in the greater Sacramento area and through distance technology , and assisting trainers at other sites in learning the strategies and maintaining fidelity of implementation. Associated tasks include learning the CPRT intervention training methods and implementing them with high quality, tracking teacher progress, scheduling and conducting workshops, consultation and coaching with teachers, collecting training data and accurately entering data on the shared system.
