Nestled in the Bowmanville neighborhood just 10 miles north of Downtown Chicago, Rogers Park Montessori School, established in 1966, serves children ages 2-14. We have a proud tradition of teacher collaboration and support. The students, teaching faculty, and parents of our five 6-9 classrooms, four 9-12 classrooms, and one Middle School classroom comprise a close-knit school community.
Currently, we are seeking a motivated 9-12 Head Teacher with strong organization and communication skills who values working as part of a dynamic, creative team to join our school community. Teaching in a Montessori environment requires a deep reverence for childhood and a holistic understanding of the work of education. Our teachers trust children's innate ability to direct their activities serving the greater purpose of understanding their place in the classroom community and ultimately the world.
Candidates for classroom teacher positions must have a grounding in Montessori philosophy and have, or be working toward, AMS or AMI elementary certification. BS/BA degree is required.
