Marburn Academy is seeking qualified candidates for the Outreach Coordinator position starting in the 2019-2020 school year. This position requires an individual who believes in and has a passion for serving students with learning differences, is a visionary for positive change in education, has a working understanding of learning differences such as dyslexia and ADHD and has a passion to share knowledge with others. The Outreach Coordinator will be part of a school that believes all students can learn, and that is dedicated to serving our community with resources around dyslexia, ADHD and executive functioning. This position will be part of the Institutional Advancement Team and will report directly to the Director of Outreach.
Work closely with Director of Outreach with collaborative community partnerships on creating, designing, training staff and educators, and implementing academic support.
Lead the Free Early Reading Screening Program implementation and expansion.This includes administration and interpretation of norm-referenced standardized tests.
Collaborate on strategic plans for outreach programs and resources provided to the community.
Act as point of contact for participants in various outreach programs such as Community Parent Seminars, #MarburnCon, and Central Ohio College Fair for Students with Learning Differences.
Work on a team to plan outreach events, and manage and lead teams to execute the event.
Skills and Knowledge
Working understanding of child development and learning;
An understanding of and commitment to Marburn’s mission and values;
Conduct self in presence of students, parents, and visitors in a manner which models the core values and behaviors Marburn seeks to teach;
Demonstrate passion for helping students who struggle;
Experience and knowledge in administration and interpretation of standardized assessments;
Demonstrate strong organizational skills;
Strong oral and written communication skills;
Desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
Degree in Education, School Psychology, Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Pathology. Minimum of Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree preferred.
All employees of Marburn Academy must pass required criminal record checks and appropriate background checks, including proof of academic credentials.
Ability to stand, walk, and be in front of a group for extended periods of time
Ability to lift and carry:
Regularly up to 10lbs
Frequently up to 11lbs-25lbs
Occasionally over 30lbs
Ability to balance multiple tasks and duties
Monday-Friday: 7:40am-4:30pm with the staff member occasionally to be available, for afternoon and evening events, weekend programming, and professional development as needed.

Opened in 1981 with 12 students, Marburn now educates over 300 students year-round.
