Shore Country Day School seeks a full-time Lower School science teacher for Grades 3-5. Candidates must demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for creating and implementing a dynamic hands-on science laboratory experience for Upper Elementary school children. With its emphasis on environmental, physical, and natural sciences, the Shore science curriculum is designed in-house. Successful candidates should feel comfortable in teaching students in all elementary school grade levels and working collaboratively with an experienced, dynamic groups of peers in the Science department. Classes emphasize skills acquisition in a thematically orchestrated, concept-based curriculum. Candidates should also be well versed in culturally responsive teaching practices, child development, and community building.
