Under the administrative direction of the Chief Academic Officer, the Director of Child Development Programs is responsible for planning, directing, organizing and implementing Child Development Programs to promote and enhance early childhood education. The Director effectively builds and maintains district-wide Child Development Center and State Pre-schools.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skill is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and skill would be:
Valid California Administrative Services Credential, Certificate of Eligibility or Child Development Program Director Permit are required.
Possession of a Master of Arts/Science or higher degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
Three years of successful special education teaching experience. Preference of administrative experience in special education and/or general education is desired but not required.
Qualification for employment includes completion of online training in the following areas:
New Employee Training
Preventing Workplace Violence
Child Abuse/Mandated Reporter
Upon offer of employment, candidates will receive information and directions regarding this training.
