The University of Pittsburgh Office of Child Development is seeking an experienced, creative, and versatile professional capable of handling a variety of administrative tasks for the Director of a dynamic organization devoted to connecting research and practice to improve services, practices, and policies for young children and the adults in their lives.
This office has a specific commitment to learning about social justice, equity, and anti-racism and applying this new knowledge to our programs and research. The candidate selected will participate in this ongoing officewide training and actively support an officewide climate of enthusiasm for this important initiative. In addition to providing executive administrative support to the Director and engaging in social justice learning, this person will need interpersonal skills to be a productive member of an energetic, collaborative, and interdisciplinary team of scholars, evaluators, researchers, and practitioners in the office, in our community partner organizations (non-profits, foundations, and government), and at the university.
The candidate will manage a changing set of administrative tasks including organizing and preparing internal and external reports, special event planning, literature reviews, database creation, and fund management. Knowledge of administrative management, organization, and highly developed problem-solving and relationship skills will be very useful in this collaborative setting. Must be a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field. Previous University experience is helpful. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Hiring Range: $26,988.00 - $43,212.00
