The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Clinical Child and Adolescent Social Worker (LCSW) for the Outpatient Clinic in Chapel Hill, NC. The LCSW is responsible for provision of direct care, for an assigned group of clients, for the assessment, planning, and coordination of evidence based treatment, recovery, and support services provided by this position and other members of the Outpatient Clinic. This position is also responsible for directly providing and assisting in the provision of treatment, recovery and support services (individual and group), as well as for systematic monitoring of service delivery and timely adjustment of the treatment plan to meet changing client needs. A portion of time spent in this position will also be directed toward case management services.
Education and Experience:
Applicants must possess licensure (LCSW) from the State of NC to practice as a Clinical Social Worker, and have at least one year of direct clinical experience with children with mental health concerns and their families. Significant clinical experience with children and adults with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental disorders is strongly preferred. Experience instructing families and various treatment providers about child development and specifically autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental disorders is preferred.
