Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Program Administrator Supervisor for the School of Social Work. This position supervises a team of full time trainers who conduct in-person training sessions for child support professionals with diverse learning styles and needs. Additionally, this position collaborates with program leadership to make course assignments based on individual capability and scheduling footprint. The Senior Program Administrator Supervisor works with supervisors, program leads and staff to conduct the Trainer Continuous Quality Improvement process to address learning needs of their trainers.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Supervises, directs, and assigns duties to facilitate quality training services and curriculum development.
Develops staff work plans, monitors and evaluates job performance and develops performance improvement plans as necessary.
Trains, supports, and evaluates the performance of full-time staff providing educational services.
Confers with program lead on assignments as lead trainer and on on-boarding of new curricula for trainers. Receives trainer call out and addresses classroom coverage when assigned trainer becomes unavailable.
Conveys knowledge of adult learning principles.
Regularly reviews feedback forms, instructor and course evaluations in collaboration with Trainer CQI Supervisor.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Training, Human Resources, Public/Business Administration, Child Development, Communications, or related discipline appropriate to training being conducted.
A minimum of five (5) years supervising professional staff and/or trainers.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Expertise in child support as demonstrated by experience working in the field, knowledge of applicable practice models, and/or fluency in the policies, legislation, and workforce systems supporting the field.
Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver's license would be required for this position.
Position requires expertise in training competencies of professional presentation skills, use of a variety of engaging and interactive instructional strategies, interpersonal communication, cultural sensitivity, group processing skills, classroom management and transfer of learning strategies.
Master's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Training, Human Resources, Public/Business Administration, Child Development, Communications, or discipline appropriate to training being conducted.
Prefers facilitative training experience with adult learners.
Computer proficiency to include: setting up and troubleshooting equipment
Use of presentation software and inputting data on line.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to travel by personal vehicle to various training locations throughout New Jersey
