Provides therapeutic play and developmentally appropriate interventions to promote positive coping during health care experiences, decreasing stress and anxiety. Enhances quality of patient care through participation, documentation and communication with other members of the health care team. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

Minimum of bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development, Psychology, or a closely related field
Completion of a Child Life Internship by December 2018 as required by the Association of Child Life Professionals
Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS), or completion of certification within one year of hire.
CPR - BLS is required within 30 days of hire
