4-C: Community Coordinated Child Care, a non-profit Social Service Agency in DeKalb, is hiring a Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator for its DeKalb Office.
The candidate will support the professional growth and development of early childhood practitioners by offering resources, technical assistance and high quality trainings that promote best practices in early childhood programs; and assist in fulfilling licensing, credentialing, ExceleRate IL® and Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) Child Care Assistance Program requirements.
Plan and coordinate training in our SDA (DeKalb, Ogle, Lee, Whiteside and Carroll Counties).
Prepare written agreements and payment to presenters, secure training locations, publicize trainings and register participants.
Recruit presenters for 4-C and the Illinois Trainers Network and maintain a record of presenters, training topics and training resources including on line training opportunities.
Enter data into the statewide data tracking program within 10 business days of receipt.
Provide individual technical assistance regarding early childhood credentials, and DCFS, DHS and ExceleRate IL training requirements.
Conduct a biennial needs assessment to identify training needs of practitioners.
Other responsibilities as needed.

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: ECE, Child Development, Child Psychology/Behavioral Sciences, Family Consumer Sciences, Social Work, Elementary Education, Family Sciences, Psychology, Sociology.
Knowledge of state child care licensing standards; early childhood credentials; and ExceleRate IL standards and requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and on line databases.
Membership in Gateways Registry within 30 days of employment.
Valid Driver’s License and automobile insurance.
Must be able to work some evening and weekend hours.
Occasional travel to meetings, training sites and conferences.
