Early Learning Language Academies is seeking a passionate, experienced and well-qualified Administrative Director to assist in leading our North Bethesda early education center. The position will begin January with hours of 9:15 a.m. - 6:15 p.m. As our Administrative Director, you will:
Lead and supervise our fabulous team of teachers - fostering their talents and creativity and cultivating an environment of teamwork
Provide guidance, mentoring, inspiration and ongoing continuing education opportunities to grow effective, passionate and committed professionals
Ensure center is operating efficiently and effectively; maintain licensing, safety, and educational standards at all times
Update and create templates, policies and procedures to improve the overall functionality and quality of a growing program
Effectively manage scheduling, payroll, benefits, staff morale and evaluation
Oversee the adherence to budgets, complete monthly accounting reconciliation, reports, accounts payable and receivable
Recruit, hire and train talented, qualified and compassionate teachers and staff
Partner with parents to provide open communication, a close-knit community and a shared mission for the best care and education for their children
Cultivate positive relationships and connectedness with families, staff, state licensing authorities and community partners
Qualifications: The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and has strong interpersonal skills, is results driven - with an unwavering commitment to customer service and high quality, has strong project management skills - with the ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment and has the ability to think strategically and apply broad perspectives in solving problems. Candidate must be extremely organized, pro-active, independent and adaptable to changing needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as well as advanced knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, Google apps. Experience with ADP, Quickbooks, Procare and Brightwheel a plus. Candidate should have a basic level of technological savviness to successfully learn and utilize many of our online systems and databases. Fluency in Spanish is a big plus, though not required.
Seeking candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Education or Child Development, at least one year of classroom experience and 3 years of experience managing staff. Additionally, candidate must meet state licensing guidelines for the role, be able to lift at least 40 lbs and work indoors and outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe and engage in physical activity with children. Positive can-do attitude, compassion, the desire to make a difference and love for children is required!
