Butler County Children's Center, Inc. (BCCC), in Butler, PA, is a private, non-profit corporation and academic school providing a variety of children's programs since 1973. The Center is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors composed of parents and community leaders. It strictly adheres to all licensing regulations required by Pennsylvania’s Department of Human Services and has been a voluntary participant in the state’s quality initiative Keystone STARS program since 2009. The grantee agency for the Butler County Head Start Program and the Child Care Information Services Agency of Butler County, the mission of the Children's Center is to provide a variety of children's programs and quality services designed to meet the comprehensive needs of families. The vision of the BCCC is to be the leading provider of children's programs and quality services for families.
The Agency Board of Directors is seeking an innovative, collaborative and visionary leader with the gifts and energy to shepherd an exceptionally committed leadership team. The new CEO will preserve and enhance the unique vision, mission, culture and values of BCCC. It will be important for the CEO to be actively engaged at all levels of the Agency and serve as a highly participative agent in the broader community.
Reporting to the BCCC’s Board of Directors and to the Head Start Policy Council, the CEO will oversee all aspects of BCCC in accordance with the appropriate governing agencies regulations and policies, including the Department of Health and Human Services, the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and the Department of Education. The CEO has legal responsibility for fiscal and administrative management.
The finalist will be a mission and values driven individual who clearly demonstrates a passion for excellence within the education field. A thought leader responsible for the strategic direction and operations of BCCC, (s)he provides visionary leadership to advance BCCC’s mission and objectives. In addition, the CEO will provide operational leadership to ensure service, efficiency, and financial integrity, and have a deep understanding of and sincere approach to a servant leadership model. The incumbent will be adept at change with the ability to articulate a vision and develop a strategic agenda and will maintain the Agency’s high level of client satisfaction, employee engagement and commitment to quality.
Bachelor degree required with a minimum of six years experience in upper level management position related to early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field is required.
