Hagerstown Community College is pleased to announce that applications are currently being accepted for a Food Service Worker, Children's Learning Center position.
The Food Service Worker for the Children's Learning Center is responsible for preparing all meals, following USDA and Center guidelines and prepared menu, assisting with classroom cooking activities, maintaining an inventory of food and supplies, and cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen and all food service equipment.
This is a part-time position, available for 27.5 hours per week.

Education and experience - High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of food storage, preparation and serving methods; ServSafe Food Protection Certification desirable; minimum one year experience working in food service in a restaurant, nursing facility or hospital, school or child care center required. Experience as a registered family child care home, participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program may be substituted for food service experience. Experience working with children helpful.
Skills and abilities - Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, children and parents; ability to lift and store all supplies; willingness and ability to complete additional training in sanitation, meal planning, child development, developmentally appropriate practices, and other topics, as requested.
