We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Healthy Families Program Supervisor.
In this role, the Healthy Families Program Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Family Support and Family Assessment Workers. Healthy Families is a home visiting program that engages pregnant or newly parenting caregivers with the goal of supporting positive parent-child bonding, promoting child and family heath and development, enhancing family resilience, etc. Reporting to the Program Manager, overall responsibilities include assisting with the hiring and training of home visiting and assessment workers, completion of grant related documentation, data entry into the required database management system, and developing community partnerships.
Direct supervision and scheduling of home visiting and assessment staff
Assists in interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and training of staff
Provides case management and monitoring of performance
Conducts client record reviews and maintains required data collection systems
Conducts or arranges for family and child assessments conducted during home visiting
Participates in regular staff meetings
Provides guidance to staff including crisis intervention on high-risk cases
Ensures documentation is accurate and timely, and uses data as a tool for program development, evaluation, and continuous improvement
Performs other related duties as assigned
An advanced degree in a health or human service field (i.e. LMSW, LCSW, MA, etc)
At least five (5) years direct service in a Healthy Families Program as a Family Support or Assessment Worker OR equivalent experience
One (1) year supervisory experience
Documented history of progressive professional development
Ability to provide leadership, set program goals, and manage crisis effectively
Solid understanding of and experience motivating staff and providing support to staff in a stressful work environment
Fluent in Spanish
Knowledge of infant and child development, parent-child attachment, maternal-infant health and the dynamics of child abuse and neglect
Knowledge and experience in strength-based and family centered provision of primary prevention services, and/or direct experience as a home visitor
Respect for and sensitivity to the needs and rights of others, including those with differing cultural, racial, sexual, or ethnic identities
