The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a STARS Technical Assistant Specialist for the Office of Child Development.
The selected candidate will deliver technical assistance services to child care providers within an eleven county region that directly relate to the Keystone STARS performance standards. The incumbent will deliver these services in family child care homes, group homes and child care centers that serve infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children and/or children with special needs.
Services will include four content areas: - Early care and education - Family and community partnerships - Leadership and management - Health and safety
This person will implement assessments including the Environment Rating Scale in order to determine areas of need to plan quality improvements. This person will implement outreach strategies to providers to engage them in the STARS program and in the TA services.
