The Department of Human Development and Family Studies is currently accepting applications for an Academic Year Fixed Term Assistant Professor for the upcoming 2018-2019 academic school year at Michigan State University.
Duties will include teaching HDFS undergraduate/graduate courses both in-person and online. This includes:
Lesson planning and preparation
Meeting with students one-on-one or in small group settings
Multimodal communication with students
Working closely with both the undergraduate and graduate directors to ensure course quality
Examples of courses that may be assigned include:
Infant/ toddler development, care, and education
Assessment of young children
Masters -Child Development, Early Child Education
Doctorate -Child Development, Early Child Education
MS in Child Development, Early Child Education, or related discipline
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience teaching classes at the undergraduate level
Ph.D. in Child Development, Early Child Education, or related discipline
Professional experience in the early childhood education or intervention
Instructional experience with varied course content, size, and format strongly recommended (e.g., traditional classroom, online, supervision of field experiences).
