Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Manager.
In this role, the successful candidate The Program Manager is responsible for the implementation of all aspects of the home visiting programs that engage pregnant or newly parenting caregivers with the goal of supporting positive parent-child bonding, promoting child and family health and development, enhancing family resilience, etc. Reporting to the Director of Maternal Infant Health, this program will be delivered within the context of a health care system in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Overall responsibilities include supervision of the home visiting program supervisors, grants reporting and documentation, developing community resources and partnerships.
Manages all aspects of the Healthy Families Sunset Park and Red Hook Programs, including fiscal management, administrative, and service delivery components
Assists with overall planning and direction of the program.
Supervises employees and provides team leadership.
Ensures contractual compliance with documentation and maintains required records.
Implements continuous quality improvement plan
Provides training and orientation
Facilitates and participates in regular staff meetings.
Provides guidance to staff including crisis intervention on high-risk cases.
Acts as liaison with other community agencies and the HFNY Program contract manager and with HFNY State Leadership Group.
Uses data as a tool for program development, evaluation and continuous improvement
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Two years of supervisory experience supervising master's level social work staff Four years of direct experience with at-risk families, including work in the field of child abuse or family violence and previous supervisory experience. Bilingual Spanish OR Mandarin required
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and experience in strength-based and family centered services. Knowledge of infant and child development, parent-child attachment, and maternal-infant health. Ability to provide leadership, set program goals, and manage crisis effectively. Ability to establish trusting relationships and work effectively with families. Respect for and sensitivity to the needs and rights of others, including those with differing cultural, racial, sexual, or ethnic identities.
