UMKC Berkley Child and Family Development Center, located on the UMKC campus, is accepting resumes for a preschool / pre-k classroom lead teacher. Berkley, established in 1993, is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and serves as the School of Education's early childhood learning laboratory for teacher preparation in the area of Curriculum and Instruction Early Childhood. Berkley is inspired by the schools of Reggio Emilia Italy, implements a developmentally appropriate curriculum focused on relationship building between child, teacher and the family, social emotional learning, group collaboration, creative thinking, problem solving and cognitive learning through hands on interactive play environments. We serve one hundred children on a daily basis. Partnering with families is a cornerstone of our philosophy. The position offers a competitive salary, extensive benefits package, and paid monthly professional development. In this position you will work in a team co-teaching environment. Interested candidates should have a minimum of an Associate's Degree in child development, early childhood or related field, Bachelors preferred.
