Director of Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC) Training and Certification

WestEd — a nonpartisan, nonprofit research, development, and service agency — works with education and other communities throughout the United States and abroad to promote excellence, achieve equity, and improve learning for children, youth, and adults. WestEd has more than a dozen offices nationwide, from Massachusetts, Vermont, and Georgia, to Illinois, Arizona, and California, with headquarters in San Francisco. The Center for Child and Family Studies’ mission is to develop programs, products, and policies that enhance the well-being of children and families. Projects include (1) the creation and implementation of a training system including video and print materials and training institutes; (2) implementation and evaluation of a model for work with families living in conditions of poverty and danger; (3) evaluation of early childhood services; and (4) dissemination of information to influence the policies and practices of early intervention services, early childhood care, and family/community support services at local, regional, and national levels. The Center's Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC), a nationally recognized training system for infant and toddler caregivers, is the most widely used in the United States. Position Description The Director of the Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC) Training and Certification, will provide leadership, oversight, and management of face-to-face and online PITC Trainings, as well as the PITC Certification Process. The Director of PITC Training and Certification will ensure all deliverables are submitted on time, on budget, and are of the highest quality. The Program for Infant/Toddler Care is a comprehensive training system that promotes responsive, caring relationships for infants and toddlers, and employs evidence-based training materials and strategies for the early care and education field.
