Summary Description: Faculty in General PediatricsThe Division of Child and Adolescent Health at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital is seeking to expand its General Pediatrics faculty. Our faculty provide primary care for children and adolescents through age 20 in an urban, predominantly immigrant community in Northern Manhattan at four Hospital-owned integrated resident-faculty practice sites. Faculty teach and supervise medical students, residents and fellows. All faculty are expected to pursue an academic focus. Research, Quality Improvement efforts and community partnership initiatives currently focus on vaccine uptake and safety, improved health delivery and outcomes including the use of technology and reducing health disparities, obesity prevention, early child development, and health literacy.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates for this position must be BC/BE general pediatricians; they must meet the requirements to practice clinical medicine in New York State. Candidates are expected to have excellent clinical skills, a strong interest in clinical research, quality improvement, or population health approaches, and expertise in teaching.
Preferred Qualifications: Fellowship training or the equivalent is strongly preferred. Bilingual skills are highly desirable.
