The Site Director implements and manages all direct service programs and related support services/activities at assigned agency facility.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY TASKS
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for the day to day operations of a NAEYC Accredited, ExceleRate GOLD Circle of Quality facility.
Ensure the implementation of all program activities for the assigned facility. These activities include daily, developmentally appropriate curriculum components; field trips; special events; enriched programs; and other activities.
Responsible for oversight of all site teaching and program support staff and direct supervision of Program Coordinators including evaluating, mentoring and coaching.
Ensure a healthy, safe, and friendly environment for children, youth, and parents in accordance with all licensing requirements and consistent with agency philosophy and policies. This includes but is not limited to statute/policy regarding appropriate staff/child ratios; presence of the required qualified site management staff; correct and complete records of all children, youth, and staff; equipment, supplies, and physical facility indoors and outdoors; and other areas consistent with statute and regulation.
Manage and administer all program-specific funding contracts, or assigned portions thereof. Ensure agency compliance with all contractual and audit requirements for all site program components. These duties include: initiating and maintaining full enrollment; client eligibility determination and follow up; special case service eligibility; accurate and consistent record keeping; fee assessment and collection; statistical reports, monthly vouchers and all auxiliary records as stipulated by agency policy, statute, contract and/or audit requirements.
Responsible for annual eligibility audit preparations, monitoring visits and statistical compilations as required by funding sources.
Work in partnership with parents to facilitate positive relationship between home and Center. Conduct regular parent meetings; issue monthly written communication with parents regarding curriculum plans and news, program policies and other items of interest. Plan field trips and other activities in response to family needs.
Conduct weekly program staff meetings; major seasonal/event planning; review of daily classroom activity plans and issues with weekly written follow up. Consolidate all program components into consistent site activity plan.
Maintain appropriate professional affiliations and represents the agency/program to the larger community. Conduct frequent tours and program presentations for potential funders.
Manage the physical plant and supervises its upkeep; oversee food service and catering and ensure site compliance with licensing, sanitation, and Board of Health requirements.
Participate as a member of the management team, including work on budget preparation, monitoring, program planning, staff and general operational concerns.
Assume a leadership/liaison role with Board committees and special projects as assigned.
Generate monthly reports which include enrollment, service delivery statistics, and a program narrative for submission to Executive Director.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required.
Applicant for the position of Site Director shall possess at least a B.A. in Child Development/Early Childhood Education or B.A. Degree with the Equivalency in Early Childhood Education; five (5) years of progressively complex program management/supervisory experience and must have an Illinois Director Credential level II or above.
Must have 5 years of progressively complex program management/supervisory experience.
Demonstrated competence in and working knowledge of finance, program planning, operations, and administrative skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to understand, analyze, interpret, and make decisions about complex information received.
Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure.
