Princeton Junior School is seeking a studio arts teacher (atelier) for our toddler (age 2) thru grade 5 to join our International Baccalaureate World School. Central to PJS is our dedication to the importance of a strong childhood experience and our mission.
Our Early Childhood Program (Age 2- 5) provides atelier everyday and all morning long. The atelier co-teaches alongside our classroom teachers, extending projects and expanding inquiry through the arts. Our Preschool (age 3.5) thru Grade 5 will experience studio arts through our IB program, an established curricular framework that warrants strong collaboration in concepts through inquiry across, subjects and grades. PJS provides extensive professional development in both Reggio and IB.
We invite professionals to apply who are highly experienced, collaborative, creative, and organized. He/she understands and can engage with children early thru late childhood, building their skills and understandings as artists and multicultural perspectives through the arts.
This is a unique position in a close-knit school family, for a highly passionate art educator who demonstrates strong understanding of Reggio philosophy, inquiry and concept-based learning, child development and creating a rich invitation in the arts. A strong candidate will be able to communicate and effectively cultivate a deep appreciation and demonstration of the arts in our school community.
