The Department of Psychology at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel is seeking an excellent candidate for a tenure-track position in the developmental psychology program. This position is open to all ranks and is subject to budgetary considerations
Our department comprises over 20 researchers from various fields of psychology, including clinical, cognitive, social, developmental. and neuroscience. Interdisciplinary collaboration with other faculty members is both common and encouraged. The University provides excellent infrastructure to facilitate research and is committed to the success of its faculty. The University is located in Beer-Sheva, Israel, has a student body of approximately 20,000, and has a very active campus life with an emphasis on community activism.
We are seeking an applicant with a PhD and post-doctoral training, a strong record of research in child development, and with applied developmental training/experience, consistent with the scientist-practitioner model. Licensed or license-eligible in developmental psychology preferred. Candidates licensed in clinical child psychology or educational psychology may be considered too, as long as their clinical experience and research is related to developmental disorders.
We expect the position to start in the academic year of 2017-2018.
Responsibilities include maintaining an active and successful program of research, supervising graduate students (M.A. and Ph.D.) in their research projects, and teaching both undergraduate and graduate classes.
