The Director is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation and administration of the Center assuring compliance with all New York State Office of Children and Family Services (NYSCFS) school licensing and regulatory requirements and all other applicable local, state and federal laws. The Director maintains accreditation status with National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Assures the Child Care Center programs developed in conjunction with the mission of the College.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development or a child-related field with 24 credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or early childhood special education and 9 credits in administration, leadership, management, and one year full time teaching experience in an early childhood center and one year of supervising staff in a child care center OR New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential with one year of full time teaching experience in an early childhood center and one year of supervising staff in an early childhood center.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university, supervisory, budget management, fundraising and grant writing experience. Two years teaching experience in an early childhood center or program.
