Advertised Summary Job Description: The Heilbrunn Department of Population and Family Health, Mailman School of Public Health seeks a Program Assistant/Education. The incumbent will work with the Head Start Program, and assist the Education Team with coordinating child development screenings and assessments, and monitoring outcomes of children. She/He will provide education services to infant, toddlers and parents in groups. The candidate will participate in the education team's planning and coordination of curriculum. The incumbent will review lesson plans for socialization groups and home visits. He/She will assist with the monitoring of the classrooms to ensure a safe and optimal learning environment.
Assist the Education team with coordinating child development screening and assessments and monitoring child outcomes; Assist the Education team with reviewing lesson plans for socialization groups and home visits; Provide education services to infant, toddlers and parent in groups and participate in curriculum planning meetings; Assist with the monitoring of the classrooms to ensure a safe and optimal learning environment; Other duties as assigned.
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree required in early childhood education or a related field.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Stong communication and organization skills required. Strong computer skills, proficiency in MicroSoft Office Suite programs; facility in learning new software programs.
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in oral and written English and Spanish preferred
