Job Description:Assist the Dean in performing routine administrative responsibilities related to the College and monitor College Undergraduate Studies and Assessment with University policies and procedures. Examples include representing the College on committees and task forces, and assuring that College activities are following the unit codes and the ECU Faculty Manual (e.g., voting rights, committee assignments). Serve as a member of the College Executive Committee. Serve as the liaison between the College and the University Undergraduate Curriculum Committee (UCC). In this role, the Assistant Dean will work with faculty to review the undergraduate catalog and report on undergraduate retention. Serve on College and University committees as appointed by the Dean. Represent the College at various campus and community functions, particularly those that relate to undergraduate studies and assessment. Consult with Departments undertaking undergraduate academic program reviews and action plans related to reviews to ensure compliance with University and College guidelines. Collaborate with other administrators in facilitating the awards process for HHP faculty. Collect, analyze, and periodically report College of HHP data to the Dean and other College administrators, particularly focusing on data related to undergraduate studies. Position could be a 9-month or 12-month conversion. INTERNAL POSTING: Open only to applicants currently employed by ECU.
Miniumum Qualifications: Master's degree in one of the discipline degrees offered in the College of Health and Human Performance, such as; Child Development and Family Relations, Athletic Training, Interior Design, Exercise and Sport Science, Recreation Services and Interventions, and Social Work. Preferred Education and Experience: Currently holds a position in the college with experience in advising and teaching preferred.
