Job Duties: The Early Childhood Education (ECE) Lab School is seeking qualified part-time associate teachers to work with young children at the ECE Lab School (San Marcos and/or Escondido site). Assignments include providing service in the care, development, supervision and instruction of children ages 18 months 5 years.
Must meet one of the sets of qualifications listed under a) or b): a) 12 units in ECE/child development (CD) including core classes** AND 50 days of experience providing care or instruction in a child-care setting, working 3+ hours per day within the last 2 years. b) A Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
Note: All unit requirements listed above are semester units. All course work must be completed with a grade of C or better.
**Core Courses include child/human growth & development; child/family/community or child and family relations; and programs/curriculum. A minimum of three semester units or four quarter units in each of the core areas is required.
Only coursework completed at, and degrees awarded by, accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education will be considered as satisfying the minimum qualifications. Coursework and degrees that are completed outside of the United States are required to have transcripts evaluated (evaluation to U.S. equivalency and a course by course analysis) by an appropriate U.S. credentials evaluation service.
