Currently we are searching applicants for a School Base Compliance Coordinator.
This position will be responsible for assuring that all compliance are met in the area of education and diverse learners at his/her assigned school. He/she will support all staff (at the school level) in meeting all rules, regulations, and procedures in these areas, as well as providing assistance to families as needed.
Contributes to the development of the overall school educational plan (0-5)
Assures that the educational components of Head Start and Early Head Start are being implemented according to the Head Start Performance Standards and Child Development Management Plan (0-5)
Assures that Subsidized Child Care components are being implemented.
Assures that all licensing requirements are being met.
Assures the recruitment of eligible children and assists in maintaining a waiting list
Creates Improvement Plans for any area of non-compliance and oversees the implementation and evaluation of the Improvement Plan
Established and maintains effective working relationships with families and the community
Trains staff in Head Start and licensing requirements
Assures that all requirements for diverse learners are being met
Models and assists others in learning the roles and requirements of working in our schools
Conducts bi-monthly meetings (with minutes and agendas)
Responsible for the Education Folders of all children
Supervises the maintenance of the classrooms and program equipment
Maintains accurate, and up-do-date records
Assists in monitoring the budget
Plans and conducts parent meetings as needed
Provides administrative and classroom coverage as needed
Oversees field trip planning and special events planning
Recruits and arranges for voluntary services that will assist the school program
Keeps school staff aware of any changes or requirements for compliance
Works cooperatively with peer to meet position responsibilities Assists in the development of IEPs and IFSPs
Prepares written reports as requested or required
Other duties as assigned

Spanish fluency is a plus.

Must have knowledge of Head Start and Early Head Start requirements and Performance Standards.
Must have the capacity to assume responsibility for own professional development
Must be detail oriented.
Must be able to serve as an advocate for children and families.
Level 5 Certification in Gateways
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education OR
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 18 credit hours in Child Development with teaching experience in an early childhood setting.
